Behaviour & Attitudes Wins Grand Prix at Research Excellence Awards 2018

Behaviour & Attitudes scooped the Grand Prix at the annual Marketing Society’s Research Excellence Awards which were held in the Shelbourne Hotel on December 7th.

The Milltown-based research firm won the Grand Prix for its work with MSD and its research project Rebuilding Trust: Reviving Ireland’s HPV Vaccinations. It also picked up the top award in the Public Policy & Social Research category, also for MSD. Elsewhere, it won the top award in the Product Innovation and NPD Research category for Snakes & Ladders:  The Home Buying Journey for AIB. The Grand Prix Award was sponsored by PML Group.

Other winners included Core for its National Sponsorship Index in the Analytic Impact category; Ipsos MRBI in the Brand Development & Strategy category for Woodies and Coyne Research for its customer experience research, A Mortgage Metamorphosis, for Ulster Bank. In the Advertising & Advertising Media Research category, which is sponsored by IMJ, Clear Chanel picked up the top award for its work with Tesco Ireland.

The Marketing Society Research Excellence Awards are Ireland’s foremost showcase for the transformational impact that research and insights can have on marketing strategies and delivering best in class customer experience.  With over 40 entries received this year, it demonstrates the health of the sector and the continued importance of insight driven marketing.

As 2018 is the tenth anniversary of the Research Excellence Awards, to mark the occasion, an inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to industry veteran Robin Addis.

For the first time, in a European collaboration between the Marketing Society of Ireland and ESOMAR, the 2018 Grand Prix winner will address the prestigious ESOMAR Congress in 2019.

The awards were presented by Dr Kate Ui Ghallachior, Chair of the adjudication panel and Head of the School of Marketing at the Dublin Institute of Technology.

According to Avril Collins, Chair of the Marketing Society and Director at Murray: “Building on a track record stemming back ten years ago, it is a pleasure to see the research excellence awards continue to go from strength to strength. I am particularly honoured to introduce the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award to recognise the contribution of a luminary of the industry. Mr. Robin Addis is a deserving recipient and I heartily congratulate him on this well-deserved accolade.”
